The night Georgia O’Keeffe died I made a small collage in her memory. When it came time for Dartmouth Professor, Bill Phillips, to film “How to Make a Print” for his documentary about me, I decided this was the perfect opportunity to translate my collage into a woodblock print in her honor.
On Sabra’s recent trip to Hawaii, a bonfire was built on the sacred Beach of the Dead, in memory of her husband, Spencer. This beach is on Kaua’i and the view is looking west from where the first Polynesians came to Hawaii.
In 2012, Sabra gave a talk at Frog Hollow in Burlington. The topic was her print “Piero Forever,” a tribute to Sabra’s favorite Renaissance artist, Piero Della Francesca.
