The Mountain Suite was first published in 1979 in open editions and many of you longtime collectors acquired your impressions over the next several years.

By 1987 I decided to give it a rest and move on to other images. But now that IRIS technology is available I've decided the prints deserve a new life and you will see that I have added my new electronic "chop" at the bottom to distinguish them from the previous woodcuts.

One of the things that makes me happy about reissuing these prints is that one still finds the same tranquil aspects in Vermont over 20 years later: cows, lighted farm houses, sap steam, hay fields......the icons we hold dear are still very much part of our lives in the Green Mountains and we intend to keep it that way!

I have to say I think the images have worn pretty well. I might have a bit more sophisticated technique now and a bit more complex imagery but I feel pleased when I look at them. They constituted a kind of watershed for me and each in turn has generated it's own offspring as you will see by looking at the current titles on the site.
