The narrow valleys of Vermont's piedmont region east of the Green Mountains hold many small farms, many with sheep. In the summer, clouds build by afternoon but sun prevails most days and the difused light makes these small worlds glow.

As with its companion prints "Snow Light" and "Leaf Light," and "Blossom Light," I cut the woodblocks and proofed them here at the studio in East Barnard. The giclee prints are made at Northlight Editions in White River Junction. The "Light Suite" is also available for purchase as a set.
